My submission for the GMTK Game Jam 2025 with the theme "LOOP": Cathy and the looping gun. It's my first entire solo game jam, and I'm very happy with it. I proved to myself that I can make a game on my own!
It's a short, slightly chaotic adventure where Cathy, a curious cat, gets lost in a mysterious canyon. The player needs to loop Cathy's gun to blast her in a specific direction, creating her own bullet hell.

Score and Review
For my first solo game jam, with over 9 600 games, I'm still very proud of the score I got :

Overall, my rating was in the top 10% of the game and I was so happy about that!

What I learned
I learned the hard way to throw one day for a project of 5 days, it was hard but for the best because my first idea was unreachable for sure. I realized on day two, thanks to an early playtest, that it was not fun, and it was best to iterate on the idea rather than brute-force on the original idea.
It was also my first game that got that much attention, and I really learned a lot about what the players felt like by reading the review.
